OrionVM and BluLogix Strengthen Channel Offering with Unique Technology Partnership

IaaS and PaaS platform innovators together enable clients to easily brand, deploy, and bill for their own suite of enterprise cloud solutions

San Francisco, CA and Channel Partners Conference (Las Vegas, NV)—March 16, 2016—OrionVM, an award-winning white-label wholesale Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider, and BluLogix, a leading cloud services marketplace provider, today announced a technology partnership for the channel partner community at Channel Partners Conference & Expo 2016, taking place March 16-18 in Las Vegas, NV. The one-of-a-kind union enables clients to quickly brand and launch high-performing public, private, and hybrid cloud solutions with the ability to easily package and bill those products.

This unique and symbiotic relationship represents the best of both worlds for users. Using these platforms, resellers can capitalize on OrionVM’s disruptive wholesale business model and next-gen hyperconverged architecture to resell cloud capacity (compute, storage and networking) significantly below AWS rates – all for no upfront cost and either pay-as-you-go or an annual contract. In addition, they can rely on BluLogix’s award-winning Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution for accurate service measuring, tracking, pricing and billing. The combination enables resellers to effectively maintain backend billing processes such as order to activation, invoicing and time to market—improving revenue assurance, cost reconciliation, predictive revenue and overall cash flow.

“BluLogix is proud to partner with OrionVM, a trusted and reputable wholesale IaaS provider,” said Tim Cook, CEO at BluLogix. “This partnership represents massive opportunity and profitability for the channel. Together, we look forward to transforming operations for resellers, enabling them to see higher profits and better compete in today’s dynamic market.”

“Solution providers are frustrated with the cost and operational barriers to building their own cloud,” said Sheng Yeo, OrionVM Co-Founder and CEO. “We understand those challenges and are excited about the business outcomes and market opportunity collaborating with BluLogix creates for solution providers. Our integrated services do the heavy lifting around the complicated task of managing and billing a scalable suite of premium cloud services. Now partners can focus on core competencies and value adds with the confidence they can deliver the competitive pricing and the enterprise-class performance their end-users demand.”

One company already taking advantage of the combined approach is CloudCo Partner, Inc., a leading U.S. based 3CX hosting partner and channel provider that empowers its partners to easily and profitably resell a variety of industry-best cloud services through a proprietary consolidated services portal. CloudCo provides its partners with dedicated customer service, an innovative managed services portal, higher commission rates than industry standards and a variety of other benefits all designed to eliminate the hassle and headache of reselling cloud services so a partner can focus on sales rather than support and troubleshooting.

“We have searched tirelessly and no other cloud vendor had the combination of features, support and a business model that fit our unique requirements – right out of the box. OrionVM and BluLogix provide us a complete solution that gives us the flexibility, performance and margins needed to efficiently launch our products and services and pass all that value along to our ecosystem of channel partners. This is going to allow our channel partners to grow their sales rapidly by removing the roadblocks of billing and infrastructure so they can in turn put more focus on their customer and revenue development,” said Mike Evanisko, CTO, CloudCo.

OrionVM is a member of the AT&T Partner Exchange® reseller program, allowing them to also bundle their offerings with AT&T’s highly secure, reliable and scalable network solutions.

OrionVM Honored as Silver Stevie® Award Winner in 2015 American Business Awards

Hyperconverged IaaS Cloud Pioneer Honored with Most Innovative Tech Company at ABA Award Ceremony in San Francisco

ABA15_Silver_VOrionVM® (https://www.orionvm.com), a leading provider of wholesale Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and next-gen cloud technology, was presented with a Silver Stevie® Award in the  Most Innovative Tech Company of the Year category in The 13th Annual American Business Awards last Friday night.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

More than 3,300 nominations were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Tech Startup of the Year, Software Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, and App of the Year, among others.  OrionVM was nominated in the Most Innovative Tech Company of the Year category for Up to 100 Employees.

OrionVM’s proprietary cloud architecture, modeled on supercomputers, aggregates innovation in distributed systems, converged infrastructure, open networking, and more to define a new era of simplicity and agility for deploying hosted enterprise-grade cloud IT.  The OrionVM Wholesale Cloud Platform allows channel partners to easily launch premium private, public and hybrid cloud solutions with full control – from a complete white-label rebrand, to billing integration and flexible account management. OrionVM’s HyperCloud™ boasts a 50%+ reduction in the datacenter footprint (power/hardware) compared to traditional cloud technologies, which allows clients to sell IaaS (compute, storage, networking) below AWS rates while still generating significant profit.

“This award is further validation of the competitive advantage and operational agility we deliver for our partners as well as our partners’ clients in the rapidly growing cloud marketplace,” said Sheng Yeo, OrionVM Co-Founder and CEO. “OrionVM has emerged as the compelling third option for the many IT service providers trapped between the high capital investment and technical complexity of building their own cloud versus the thin profit margins and hidden scaling costs of using public IaaS retailers.
Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 200 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process.

“We are extremely impressed with the quality of the entries we received this year. The competition was intense and every organization that won should be proud,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “To those outstanding individuals and organizations that received Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Awards, the judges and I are honored to celebrate your many accomplishments. You are setting a high standard for professionals nationwide.”

Details about The American Business Awards and the lists of Stevie winners who were announced on September 11 are available at www.StevieAwards.com/ABA.

OrionVM CEO Sheng Yeo Named to CRN “100 People You Don’t Know But Should” List

Next-Gen IaaS Cloud Platform Pioneer Honored as Unsung Hero of the IT Channel

OrionVM®, a leading provider of wholesale Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and next-gen cloud technology, announced today that Sheng Yeo, OrionVM Co-Founder and CEO, has been named by CRN as one of the “100 People You Don’t Know But Should” in the IT channel for 2014. Selected by the CRN editorial team based on ongoing feedback throughout the year from solution providers and other industry executives, CRN’s list celebrates under-the-radar channel management team members from some of the industry’s top vendors and distributors. These unsung heroes might not be household names but they work tirelessly to create, promote and manage the programs and policies that support the IT channel and help it thrive.

Sheng Yeo co-founded OrionVM along with CTO Alex Sharp with the vision to build a better cloud using the high-performance components and fully distributed architecture of supercomputers. OrionVM’s resulting breakthrough wholesale cloud platform empowers service providers (MSPs, SIs, VARs and telcos alike) to deliver an optimum cloud competency with rapid time-to-market minus the hurdle of any capital expenditure. OrionVM is well-positioned to completely disrupt the IaaS market by providing enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure at a fraction of the cost of incumbent vendors.

“The IT industry has a tendency to shine the spotlight on its top executives, but at CRN we know that there are a lot of other hardworking people who deserve to be recognized for their contributions as well,” said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company, publisher of CRN. “This list is our way of recognizing some of the people that are in the trenches, working hard on behalf of the IT channel every day and making decisions that help tip the scales toward channel success.”

“Innovators like OrionVM help clients achieve success, remain competitive, and provide premium cloud infrastructure at sustainable costs,” said Yeo. “Our main motivation is to be a vendor that truly enables channel partners to reach their goals by delivering IaaS solutions at margins not currently possible using the prevailing legacy big-name options. We only win when our partners win – this is the new reality of Cloud 2.0, and emblematic of the business agility and transformation currently sweeping through the global IT ecosystem.”

The “100 People You Don’t Know But Should” list is featured in the October issue of CRN and can be viewed online at http://www.crn.com.

OrionVM IaaS Platform distinguished in premier technology awards program for ICT Industry, recognising Australian innovation

OrionVM® (www.orionvm.com), a leading provider of wholesale Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and next-gen cloud technology, was named as a state merit recipient and national finalist today in the Tools category of the 2014 iAwards, Australia’s premier technology innovation awards program for the ICT industry.

The iAwards honours both companies at the cutting edge of technology innovation as well as leading professionals across the ICT industry. Most importantly, the iAwards recognises the achievements of home-grown Australian innovators. The key goal of the iAwards is to discover, recognise and reward the ICT innovations that have the potential to, or are already having, a positive impact on the community—at home, in the office and on a global scale. The iAwards also recognises the achievements made and value added by ICT professionals, CIOs and other innovators.

The iAwards for the New South Wales (NSW) State territory were presented at a ceremony in Sydney on June 25, 2014. The iAwards State Presentations are where iAwards host organisations, local branches, sponsors and members of the local ICT industry announce the state and territory winners and national finalists for the prestigious 2014 iAwards. These awards honour the best and most innovative solutions in each state or territory. Winners and merit recipients of these state and territory awards go on to represent their state or territory at the national phase of judging, which is being held in Melbourne on 29 August at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. OrionVM was named a merit recipient and national finalist in the Tools category for the 2014 NSW State iAwards.

OrionVM helps IT solution providers drive profit and deliver high-performing, enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure. Fuelled by strong demand for its market-leading wholesale cloud platform, OrionVM achieved a record year in 2013 with a 20-fold increase of customers, adding enterprise clients such as Fastly, D-Link, and Vodafone, and launched key technology partnerships with Cumulus NetworksTM and Mellanox. OrionVM is Australia’s largest wholesale cloud IaaS provider and recently announced their US expansion in early 2014 with a new headquarters office in San Francisco, CA.

We are proud of our company’s Australian roots and appreciate the efforts of the iAwards organisation to highlight the cutting-edge achievements that Australia is offering to the world.”

Judging of the group awards is divided into two stages. Phase one determines the state winner for each category and is undertaken by an online review of the nomination submitted. This first phase of state judging is an on-paper review carried out by ICT industry professionals. The judging panel will assess all iAwards nominations in order to select winners in each category for each state. iAwards judges will assess nominations against the relevant selection criteria. State winners progress to phase two. This is a face-to-face presentation that will take place in Melbourne. The second national phase of judging is designed to enable each of the state winners to present their nominations to a panel of iAwards judges in person.
